For every Sunday that we get up and toss the ball around, crack open a cold beer, or make that short drive to Orchard Park…that is why I thank you, Mr. Wilson.

Thank You, Ralph
Uh oh
Ok, so not only did the Sabres get pushed around last night, but they still could have won. It just got worse. Patrick Lalime missed pratice this morning, and no one know why. This should be interesting. Personally, it may be a good thing. I don’t see this team hanging on to 8th spot with Lalime in goal.
Also, the Ducks want Paul Gaustad suspended for his hit on Ryan Getzlaf at the end of the game last night. It was a dirty hit, and I could see Goose getting a game or two for it. Maybe he can work on his fighting during his off day.
UPDATE: Lalime woke up last night with Flu like symptoms. He will make the trip to Carolina. If he can’t dress, Jhonas Enroth would make his first career start in the NHL. As far as a backup, who the hell knows?
Marshawn Lynch Arrested
Criminal Possesion of a firearm.
Sign Fred Jackson, and get ready to draft someone else. I don’t want anymore “Beast Mode” in this city. I never thought he was that good anyway.
Nathan Gerbe is back today and Paille is still scratched. This would lead one to believe that he’s now in Lindy’s dog house. I could see him being gone at the deadline.
Nathan Paestch is also still on the 4th line making Andrew Peters a scratch. I was looking forward to Ruutu finally getting drilled tonight, oh well.
No more Numminen
It doesn’t look good, folks. There are now some reports that Teppo Numminen may be done for the year after taking a puck to the face against Carolina.
Teppo (despite what may be said) is a valuable asset to this hockey club. He is everything that you want in a 6-7 defensemen. The calming presence on the blue line will be sorely missed for however long Teppo is out.
Also, you can’t help but point out the leadership. Teppo has aided in the development of Chris Butler who’s in his first stint in the big league.
Notes:
Nathan Paetsch will return to the line-up for the first time in 14 games. That’s an awful long time to be a healthy scratch.
Expect chippy play out west. This road trip should mean the return of Craig Rivet as well. You know, the nasty guy from the Islanders game?
Also, I’m confident that Andrew Peters will see action this month, as the West has some awful big boys. Perhaps Paille will take a seat, he’s due.
