The Buffalo Sabres can actually stay in the playoff race tonight with a win in Montreal. The Canadiens are 5 points ahead of Buffalo. The Sabres have 8 games remaining. A loss in regulation or overtime would likely send the Sabres to the golf course. A win, and things get interesting.
The Bandits meanwhile are heading in the right direction. They host 2nd place New York tonight at the Arena. The Bandits with a win could put a strangle hold on the division lead.

BANDITS
Cory Bomberry had three goals and three assists and Ken Montour was rock solid in goal as the Buffalo Bandits rolled the Portland Lumberjax 14-4 in front of over 17,000 at the HSBC arena.
The Bandits (8-3) are the only Buffalo team that knows how to win, and it is a nice change. The Bandits are in first place in the east by a game over Boston.
The crowd was into the game, but the roof was blown off late in the 3rd by 2 consecutive fights off the whistle. Resident tough guy’s Brandon Francis and Billy Dee Smith both got into the action. Francis scrapped first, and then Smith was challenged by 6 foot 10 inch behemoth David Morgan.
Smith handled himself quite well, landing 3 flush right hands to the chin of Morgan. Smith and Morgan received game misconducts for their pugilistic action.
The Bandits then went on to score 5 4th quarter goals on their way to another impressive home victory.
Next up: The New York Titans (6-5) visit the Arena next Saturday.

Oh yeah, the best Birthday present ever. T freaking O. I still can’t believe it. I literally sit here thinking about T.O. in a Bills uniform and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
The Bills are once again relevant in sports. This is the most exciting move since Drew Bledsoe in 2002, and this one could actually work out.
T.O. has been nothing but awesome so far. He felt glad to be wanted, and believe me, Buffalo will accept him.
Is it crazy that I’m going to the T.O. jersey sale tomorrow? Hell no!
