Like him or not, I saw it coming. He can only run at so many guys before someone (Gauthier) is crazy enough to not care. Unfortunately for Kaleta, he probably has a concussion because of it.
The unwillingness to engage in fisticuffs ultimately led to Kaleta being sucker punched by a notorious cheap shot artist. It was not called for, but it was bound to happen.
In better news, Petey got his first point of the year. He went hard to the net and got rewarded for it. Typical new NHL rules prevented him from pulverizing Gauthier into oblivion, as Peters had the restraints put on by Lindy. He’ll have a big challenge ahead of him tomorrow, with Georges Laraque in Montreal.

I guess when you leave your feet to miss a check like that, that happens. While the sucker punch is never warranted, didn’t you kind of see it coming after no penalty was called on the charge?
I did. Kaleta is not exactly the most textbook hitter. He occasionally leaves his feet, and takes more than 3 strides to hit. You have to put that in perspective.
hey, he brings alot of energy. n does his job. n he provokes the other team. unfortanatly, his job causing everyone (besides his teammates) to hate him. i think he should drop them more. in years to come im sure he is going to have to more and more. n he will become better (in my opinion.)
he never seems to be afraid of any one. and he loves starting shit. but his fight card doesnt show it. hopefully this will change soon.
