The Sabres are officially on the board.
WGR just announced that the Sabres have signed goaltender Patrick Lalime to a two year deal.
Lalime, who turns 34 next week, played 32 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season, registering a 16-12-2 record with a 2.82 GAA and an .897 save percentage.
The St. Bonaventure, Quebec native has played 397 games over the course of nine NHL seasons with Chicago, St. Louis, Ottawa and Pittsburgh. He had a career year in the 2002-03 season with the Ottawa Senators, putting up a 39-20-7 record with a 2.11 GAA, while adding 8 shutouts.
